Congratulations to Zhuoya (Monica) Shi. She received the MS EE Research Award. Great job, Monica!

The Columbia Engineering Women's Health Initiative, led by Professors Christine Hendon and Kristin Myers was featured in the Columbia Engineering Magazine.

The US Patent and Trademark Office issued our patent 12,474,158, “MICRORESONATOR-FREQUENCY-COMB-BASED PLATFORM FOR CLINICAL HIGH-RESOLUTION OPTICAL COHERENCE TOMOGRAPHY.” This is work done in collaboration with Prof. Michal Lipson and Alex Gaeta.

Dr. Christine Hendon and Dr. Richard Ha were recently selected as a recipient of a 2017 Irving Institute Collaborative and Multidisciplinary Pilot Research award for Basic Science and Clinical/Translational Investigators (CaMPR-BASIC) for our project “Deep Learning for Computer Aided Identification of Breast Cancer Margins within Optical Images.”  Award duration: August 1, 2017 – July 31, 2018.
